PR vet takes on the vice-president, corporate and financial practice role

Natalia #2Natalia Smalyuk has joined the Toronto office of Environics Communications as vice-president, corporate and financial practice.

Smalyuk has experience in corporate affairs and reputation management in a wide range of sectors including financial services, payments processing, mining, oil and gas, and professional services.

She was previously an account supervisor at Weber Shandwick from 2008 to 2010 and account director and vice-president at Maverick from 2010 to 2014.

Her 17-year career began in journalism and broadcasting before shifting to the agency world, where she has provided counsel to numerous B2B and B2C brands while working at both large multinational and boutique firms. Some of Smalyuk’s previous clients included HSBC, Canadian Securities Institute/Moody’s Analytics, Moneris Solutions, Florida Department of Citrus and Ontario Realty Corporation.

“Natalia is a senior strategist with strong Canadian and international experience, adding more depth and perspective to the communications counsel we provide our clients,” said Paul Lockhard, president, Environics Communications, in a statement.
