The Canadian Public Relations Society has a new way to connect journalists and event organizers looking for commentary or speakers.

The not-for-profit group has launched a new online Expert Centre that provides quick access to PR and communications experts. The experts are members of CPRS’ College of Fellows and will range from authors and executives to researchers and educators as the resource expands.

The Expert Centre will allow CPRS to better connect the experts “to a range of audiences to more effectively advocate for the profession and our professional APR designation,” said CPRS executive director Karen Dalton. APR accreditation is a voluntary certification program administered by CPRS for PR professionals.

Beyond press looking for expert commentary for news coverage, event producers searching for speakers can also use the site to connect with communications executives in Canada.
