The Halifax office of Extreme Group was a fashion disaster last Thursday night as the agency made ugly Christmas sweaters the theme of its annual Christmas party.
Decked out in garish threads, attendees gathered in what Shawn King, chief creative officer at Extreme, described as a “dance lounge” stocked with food and booze and presided over by a DJ.
King acknowledged in an e-mail that the sweater theme was not the most original of choices for a holiday party, but said it hardly mattered to the staff.
“The theme, though, wasn’t so much about the sweaters as it was about the idea of not taking ourselves too seriously for a night and just having a little fun,” he said.
“We had a great time, and all I can say is based on the look of the office [the next] morning, I’m certainly glad we have no client meetings in here today.”
