TARA STEINBERG joined Vancouver-based Pound & Grain Digital as managing director and partner. Steinberg was director of production at Cossette’s Fjord West for three years and then moved over to director of operations at Dare North America.
RICHARD KELLY opened a new consulting practice called Richard Kelly Consulting. The former president of Toronto’s Scali McCabe Sloves also spent part of his career providing consulting services to companies including Labatt, Campbell’s, Kraft and Honda.
GCI Group Canada added three new members to its team. NATE HABERMEYER joined the PR firm as a senior consultant in its consumer lifestyle practice, while LAINE JAREMEY and RICK MADDALENA joined the healthcare practice as consultant and account coordinator, respectively.
Hagon Design added three new members to its creative team. DON LAURIE joins the Kitchener, Ont.-based design agency as senior art director. JAMES BISCH and BILL WATTERSON joined as senior designer and graphic designer, respectively.
DEREK PERKINS is Canterbury Coffee’s new head of marketing. During his career, Perkins has worked on a re-branding project for Level Ground Trading and also spent time at Contech Enterprises on Vancouver Island.
RICK BREAKENRIDGE joined London, Ont.-based ON Communication Inc. as the full-service agency expands into Western Canada. Breakenridge is based in Alberta, where he will work with existing clients and consult on new business opportunities in the agriculture sector across North America. Breakenridge brings nearly 40 years of industry experience having worked at Cyanamid, AgLine TI Communications, Monsanto and BASF Canada.
