NKPR has picked up two more global fashion brands from New York-based The Jones Group: Anne Klein and Rachel Roy.

The PR firm, which has offices in Toronto and New York, already works on Jones New York and the Rachel Roy diffusion line under The Jones Group umbrella. NKPR will be responsible for developing and executing the national communications plan to support each brand in Canada.

“We did really good work with them on the other two pieces of business… We delivered the results that we said we would based on their objectives and they saw the value in it,” said NKPR president Natasha Koifman.

Anne Klein is celebrating its 45th anniversary this year, and NKPR is developing an interactive digital retrospective that will launch mid-summer.

“We thought [the anniversary] is a huge opportunity to talk about the history and heritage of the brand. So many incredible designers have contributed to the legacy of the brand, like Donna Karan and Isabel Marant, so we can talk about all those really cool and interesting aspects of the timeline.”

For Rachel Roy, Koifman said the goal is to maintain the luxury aspect of the brand. “A lot of it is dressing key celebrities, so we’re going to do a lot around the Toronto International Film Festival, as well as very editorial placement,” said Koifman. “It’s an aspirational brand so we really want to maintain the authenticity of the brand.”
