Canada Wide Media names president. Taxi West appoints an executive creative director.

GARY DAVIES was appointed president of BC-based Canada Wide Media. Davies spent the last 16 years as executive vice-president at RedPoint Media Group, the Calgary based independent publishing company that produces Up magazine for Westjet in addition to Avenue, Wine Access and several other custom publications. He starts his new role July 3.
Taxi West named KEVIN BARCLAY its new executive creative director. Barclay was most recently a creative director at Calder Bateman in Edmonton and has also held the position of senior art director at the Vancouver offices of both Y&R and Cossette.
BRIGID TOWLER joined The Tite Group in Toronto as account executive. Towler was most recently at Henderson Bas Kohn where she worked on Nestle and The Weather Network as a project and tech resource manager.
Loopmedia added three new staff members to its Toronto team. SHAWN PREECE-HALL joined in the agency’s sales and marketing department while MERT OZCAN and BURAK OZCAN joined as developer and interactive designer, respectively
TED GRIFFITH and KAREN KRUGEL joined public relations firm APEX as senior vice-president and vice-president, respectively. Griffith spent the last seven years with National PR where he worked with electric utilities, healthcare, NGOs, aboriginal affairs and an abundance of issues management across the private and public sector. During her career, Krugel has served as vice-president or Praxis PR and Lou Hammond & Associates.
