Research In Motion hired KRISTIAN TEAR as its new chief operating officer and FRANK BOULBEN as chief marketing officer. Tear was most recently with Sony Mobile Communications where he served as executive vice- president. Boulben is the former executive vice-president of strategy, marketing and sales for LightSquared.
NATALIE LARIVIÈRE is stepping down as president of Transcontinental Inc.’s media division to pursue “new professional challenges.” Her last day is June 29.
Blast Radius added three new members to its team. KEITH LIU joins the agency’s Toronto office as vice-president strategy, mobile. He was most recently the managing director of Kalco Consulting Corp. in Vancouver. ERIN COOPER and ANDREA MORETTI join the agency’s Vancouver office as director, project services and technical experience director, respectively.
DARREN STOKES is the new vice-president and general manager of MIJO Canada. Stokes has been with the company for 16 years and held such roles as senior vice-president, and client relations and development. He replaces co-founder Michael Goldberg.
DON BOYNTON left his position as executive director, corporate communication at Travel Alberta to open a consulting practice in Calgary. He is replaced by NOELLE AUNE (executive director, public relations and communications) and JENNIFER ANDERSON (director, communications).
Shikatani Lacroix Design promoted SANDRA RIANO to strategy planner, teaming her with ADAM MINTZ, who recently joined the company from FutureBrand in Australia. Also new to the team is DEREK PETRIDIS and ROBIN ERNSTES who joined the Toronto agency as VP, finance and director of business development, respectively.
Wild On Media added three new members to its team. DAVID MCDOUGALL joined the agency’s Toronto office as communications consultant, while LYNN WEE and JERRY TI joined the Vancouver office as operation managers.
