Narrative creates and fills a new position. DAC Group adds two managers.

A recap of who’s headed where in Canadian marketing and communications.

Narrative PR appointed KATHY BARNETT to the newly created position of director of strategy and operations to work with clients such as Scotiabank and Ontario Science Centre. Previously, Barnett was the vice-president, creative at Veritas Communications.

CHRIS LACKNER joined Holmes Creative Communications as a media consultant and account director. He spent the last five years as the national arts and life editor at Postmedia. Lackner has also held reporter positions at The Globe and Mail and The Ottawa Citizen.

DAC Group added two new members to its management team. PATRICIA WHITNEY joined as director of paid search, while NADINE RUBIN joined as director of operations. Whitney was most recently the director, digital media at Klick. Rubin was director, operations and production at the Futura Loyalty Group.

CHRIS CORVETTI started with Zoom Media as sales director for Ontario and western Canada. He was most recently senior national account manager at Cineplex Media. Corvetti previously worked at Zoom Media as an account executive and sales manager. He has also held positions at Mindshare Canada, PHD Canada, and Harrison Young Pesonen & Newell.
