M2 Universal, UM have new presidents. Karo Group hires a vice-president, creative director
A recap of who’s headed where in Canadian marketing and communications.
RYAN FUSS joined Blue Ant Media (formerly GlassBox) as the vice-president of digital sales. He spent the last two years with Glam Media where he was managing director, Canada sales. He has also held senior level positions at GlassBox Television,Yahoo Canada, CHUM and Alliance Atlantis.
STEVE MOSSOP opened his own marketing research firm called Insights West, with offices in Vancouver and Calgary. Mossop spent the last 18 years with Ipsos Reid, most recently as president of market research, Canada West.
Mediabrands in Canada appointed LEEANNE COMISH as president of M2 Universal, and SHELLEY SMIT as president of UM. Comish, most recently ran her own integrated marketing and media company, replaces Sara Hill who left the agency earlier this summer. Smit was most recently executive vice-president and managing director at UM.
Newad hired ANAND PURAN to director, experiential marketing – central Canada. Puran will oversee the business development and growth of the experiential marketing division, and will be based out of the Toronto office. Puran was with Mosaic for five years, working on such accounts as Petro-Canada, Rogers, Microsoft Xbox and RIM.
KILPATRICK ANDERSON joined Karo Group as vice-president, creative director. During his career he has worked on Coca-Cola, IKEA, PlayStation, Black & Decker and Yahoo and has won Cannes Gold Lions for Nike and Fox Sports.
