Edelman Toronto adds seven new members.

A recap of who’s headed where in Canadian marketing and communications.


The Exchange Lab promoted THIERRY BAZAY from sales director to general manager of its Canadian operations. Bazay has been with the Toronto-based company for just over a year. He has also held positions at Microsoft, Publicis and Scott Thornley + Company. TheExchange Lab also hired ADAM SHINEHOFT as director, alliances and business development to promote partnerships with local inventory sources. He has over 15 years media sales and digital experience and has held senior leadership roles at Videology, Ubisoft and Microsoft.

After five years with Global Television, JACQUELINE KENDALL left her position as senior publicist and joined RPR Marketing and Communications as an account director heading up the Canadian Johnson & Johnson beauty business. Kendall will divide her time between New York City and Toronto.

SHELLEY HAYES joined Toronto’s RMW Music as director of sales and marketing. She held the same position at Westside Studio for two years and prior to that she was the company’s production coordinator.

Vital Insights hired JAMES POWELL as director of marketing to oversee the company’s brand and marketing strategies. During his 16 year career, Powell has worked with brands such as Virgin Mobile, Mini, Best Buy, Rogers and Telus Canada and has held positions at TAXI, Crispin Porter + Bogusky and M&C Saatchi.

SUNEEL KHANNA was promoted to director of communications, corporate and digital, Rogers Media to support the digital leadership team with internal and communications. He will also lead communications efforts for various corporate projects including charitable initiatives. Khanna has been with Rogers for 10 years.

Edelman Toronto added seven new staff members to its team. TRICIA SOLTYS joined as an account director with the Consumer Marketing practice, CAROLYN SCHULZ joined the Corporate & Public Affairs practice as an account manager and ALEXANDRA FAHMEY, TORU LEVINSON, ERIKA STRONG, ROSIE SHIPTON and MEGHAN SHARP joined the firm as account executives.

PAT PRUNSKUS joined AskingCanadians as its senior sales manager. Prunskus has over a decade of market research experience having held positions at Research Now and Sensors Quality Management.
