O’Hagan joins Zoomer Media Limited. Dare promotes Gillespie and Thomsett.

A recap of who’s headed where in Canadian marketing and communications.

Zoomer Media Limited appointed ANNE O’HAGAN to the newly created position of executive director, integrated communications for Zoomer magazine and EverythingZoomer.com, which is set to launch early next year. Previously, O’Hagan served as a political advisor to Ontario’s Environment Minister developing the province’s climate change plan. She also launched Toro Magazine and has contributed to publications such as Chatelaine, Saturday Night, Conde Nast Traveler, Toronto Life and The Globe and Mail.

KEITH MCPHAIL and TERRY ROSSMAN joined Brand Momentum Inc. as national client manager and regional field manager, respectively. McPhail was most recently a national key account manager at Mars Canada and has also held positions at Consumer Impact Marketing and Effem Inc. Until recently, Rossman was working as a freelance consultant. Prior to that he was with Spar Canada where he managed programs for clients, including Wal-Mart Canada, Philips, Energizer and Rubbermaid.

Vancouver agency Dare promoted ADDIE GILLESPIE and MIA THOMSETT from copywriters to associate creative directors. The two joined Dare in May 2011 and have worked on programs such as the Milk vs Cats iPhone game for Prairie Milk Marketing Partnership.

Weber Shandwick promoted ADAM WALL to general manager of the agency’s Toronto office. He will be responsible for all operations of the Toronto office and will continue to lead the national brand engagement practice. Prior to joining Weber Shandwick, Wall worked at PraxisPR where he managed public relations for Nike Canada’s hockey and basketball portfolios and led the Pepsi-QTG account team.

GARY MILNE, founder of Satori Marketing, joined Momentum Marketing as senior director, business development and client strategy. Milne has over thirty years of media and marketing experience, including radio, television, new media and digital. He most recently served as a partner at Elton Media.

Edelman Canada appointed DOMINIQUE-SEBASTIEN FOREST as SVP, digital strategic innovation advisor. Forest spent three years as vice-president, national digital solutions for Transcontinental Media and prior to that worked at Quebecor’s Canoe Inc. as general manager digital media and e-commerce, and vice-president digital media and e-commerce.
