One adds three. Pelmorex Media gains an SVP
Rethink had added another partner to its team. MAXINE THOMAS, until recently vice-president, executive strategic director at Taxi, has joined the agency’s Toronto team. In her career so far, she has worked on accounts such as WestJet, Canadian Tire, Viagra, and Telus.
Union in Toronto added three new members to its team. GLEN D’SOUZA and MIKE TAKASAKI joined the creative team from Ogilvy as senior art director and writer, respectively. MEGAN VAN VUGT, who was also at Ogilvy, joined Union as an account director.
PAULA PRESELY joined Canadian broadcast group Pelmorex Media as SVP global ad sales. She spent the last three years as executive director of sales at Yahoo, and prior to that was the director of national sales, CBC Television.
Fuse Marketing hired JENNIFER MASON as vice-president, experiential marketing and BRIE TAYLOR as account director. Throughout her career, Mason has worked on brands such as LCBO, Molson Canadian, Coors Light, Skyy Vodka and Red Bull. Taylor was most recently with Capital C where she worked on Sunlife Financial and Holt Renfrew.
Invoke in Vancouver appointed MICHAEL SMIT as CEO of Invoke Media, the company’s digital service branch. Smit joined Invoke Media from Academy, which he founded and served as managing director for the past five years. He gained over 15 years industry experience in Europe and North America working with brands such as Nike, Unilever and Microsoft.
