Perez joins Tribal DDB in Toronto. Dancose and Curry join Precision in Montreal.

A recap of who’s headed where in Canadian marketing and communications.

TOMMY PEREZ joined Tribal DDB’s Toronto office as creative director. Perez, who was born in Venezuela and has held agency positions in Puerto Rico, Texas and California, was most recently creative director at Juxt Interactive. Over the course of his career, Perez has produced digital and social creative for a wide range of clients including Walmart, Bank of America, Starbucks, Target, Dodge and 7 Up.

Hill and Knowlton hired NIINA DAVIS as an account director for its Toronto corporate communications team from Burson-Marsteller in the U.K. where she was most recently director. In this role she led media training sessions and provided media relations, issues management, crisis communications, stakeholder relations and executive profiling services for a range of clients.

Ariad added two new members to its Toronto team and promoted one of its own. SARA ATRVASH and VERGEL EVANS join as senior interactive art director and senior strategist, respectively. Meanwhile, KIERAN MILES as promoted from senior account director to senior strategist.

Olive Media added six new members to its team and promoted nine. New hires include: DANIEL GILBERT, national account manager, CHRISTINA HO, integrated campaign specialist; GENEVI ÈVE LANDRY, strategic account executive; LAURA MOORE, sales solutions; RAY PHILIPOSE, vice-president, performance media; EVA PUSZTAHEGYI, online business development specialist. Promotions include: MELODY BROWN, ad operations specialist; MARIA BARRETTE, sales insights specialist; KATE BOYLE, marketing coordinator; SANDRA CHOI, ad ops specialist; JAMIE GREENWALD, sales strategist, performance; KRISTA KADAI, head of business development & partnerships; NATASHA KULIS, strategic account executive, performance; SHANNAN LAMORRE, head of product strategy.

Precision in Montreal hired TERRI DANCOSE as director of strategic marketing services to help develop new business opportunities for the agency. Additionally, ELIZABETH CURRY joined the agency as an account coordinator.

SHERRY BAUMGARDNER joined Twist Marketing as senior marketing consultant based in Vancouver to grow the agency’s business in B.C. Most recently, Baumgardner was director of marketing for Coast Hotels & Resorts where she was responsible for branding, brand awareness and strategic marketing for the chain’s 29 hotels in western Canada.

JACQUELINE ZONNEVILLE joined Energi PR’s Toronto office as account director, health care. Prior to joining energi PR, Zonneville was a senior consultant at National Public Relations where she worked with various pharmaceutical and other health care-related clients.

Avigilon promoted KEITH MARETT from vice-president of marketing and communications to executive vice-president of marketing, communications and product strategy to oversee the product management team in addition to the company’s global marketing and communications programs.
