A recap of who’s headed where in Canadian marketing and communications.

Taxi added to its planning and strategy team in Toronto with the addition of SCOTT BEFFORT and CHRISTINE MAW as strategy directors; JEFF BERRY as director of communications planning; and JUSTINE FÉRON and JOHN KRISSILAS as planners. Beffort was most recently head of innovation at Decode; Maw was managing director, strategic planning at OMD; Berry was director of client relations and a partner at Smak. Féron joins from BBDO and Krissilas from DraftFCB.

Toronto-based communications agency North Strategic made two additions to its senior team – SARA STEWART-BROWNE as vice-president, and VICTORIA FREEMAN as account director, social media strategy. Stewart-Browne, who spent the past decade with High Road Communications, most recently as its vice-president, will lead North Strategic’s Canadian Tire account. Freeman, meanwhile, joins the agency from Salesforce Marketing Cloud where she worked with companies such as Capital One, Bank of America and PepsiCo.

TraffikGroup added two new members to its team. DOUG MAUGHAM and ADRIANNE WOTHERSPOON joined the Toronto agency as creative director and managing director of strategic planning, development, respectively. Maugham spent six years as creative group head at JWT and has also held positions at GWP and Y&R. Wotherspoon was most recently at BBDO where she held the VP, senior planner position.

BRIAN RAFUSE joined Brand Momentum as director of client development, leading the technology and telecom accounts. During his career, Rafuse has held director positions at Crossmark, CIM (Consumer Impact Marketing) and New Marketing Canada.

Marketing veteran MARK HEALY joined Venture Communications as strategy planning director, effective immediately. Healy was most recently with Torque Consulting Group where he was a partner and marketing strategist. Prior to this, Healy founded Mezzanine Business Consulting and was also a columnist for the Globe and Mail.

REN OLIVIERI joined experiential marketing agency Inventa as its creative director to oversee strategy and direction in the Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver offices. During his 14-year career, Olivieri has held senior creative roles at Cossette Communication, MacLaren McCann and most recently The Hive where he served as associate creative director.
