MELISSA COLEMAN joined OgilvyOne Worldwide as social media manager after two years as a senior cultivator at Tribal DDB, where she worked with clients like Johnson & Johnson, Wind Mobile and Penningtons. Prior to this, Coleman worked at Strategic Objectives on the Trius Wines, Dentyne, Hyundai, Kraft and Cadbury accounts.

Cossette Vancouver added new members to its team – five to the creative department and six to the account service team. Additions to the creative department includes GARNET MCELREE, associate creative director; PIERRE CHAN and KYLE DARBYSON, senior copywriters; KIM RIDGEWELL, senior designer; BART BATCHELOR, senior art director and GEORGE LIN as art director. New members of the account services team include group brand director KAREN FURLOTTE, brand supervisors ROBYN SMITH and GEMMA GIBBS and account executive KELLY LEWIS.

Videotron appointed ISABELLE DESSUREAULT to the position of vice-president, content commercialization and public affairs to oversee the distribution, commercialization and programming content for television, online, mobiles and tablets. She remains the president of MAtv. Dessureault joined Videotron in 2005 as general manager, communications. In 2006, she was appointed vice-president, corporate affairs and took the helm of the VOX television channel. From 2008 to 2010, she served as vice-president, public affairs for Quebecor Media.

Hill+Knowlton Strategies Vancouver hired KRISTINA DRIEDGER as assistant consultant and DANA SISSONS as account director. Driedger joined H+K from the Vancouver-based PR agency Peak Communicators where she most recently held the account executive title. Sissons spent the last eight months as director of public relations at CounterPath.

McMillan in Ottawa promoted JARED YOUNG from associate creative director to creative director. Young started with the agency as a copywriter in 2009. Young has received industry accolades for his work on the Canadian Dermatology Association, the Ontario Medical Association, and LexisNexis brands.

DEANNE RODRIGUES joined Obox Media in Toronto as an account executive. Most recently, Rodrigues was a national account manager with Astral Media. She has also held positions at Zoom Media and AIC (now Manulife Financial).

UB Media named SOPHIE JODOIN as sales director, Quebec. Jodoin was most recently senior account director at Zoom Media. Prior to that she spent nearly eight years with Cineplex Media as its director of sales.

Inbox Marketer added MATTHEW VERNHOUT as manager of deliverability and promoted KAREN CONNELLY from manager, deliverability and compliance to manager, software development. Vernhout’s previous experience includes stints at DoubleClick Email Solutions, Epsilon Interactive, and TC Media.

Stephen Thomas Ltd added four new members to its team. The new hires include COLLEEN GAUTHIER, manager, new business development; MIKE PRENTICE, account director; GEORGE BERDOUSSIS, account manager and SHEIDELL MAGALONG as account coordinator.

Montreal’s Braque has hired Marie-Josée Bourque MARIE-JOSEE BOURQUE (formerly of LG2 and DesArts) as director of account services, overseeing the accounts team and helping agency president Marie-Josée Bourque steer the agency’s growth.
