Taxi has promoted three of its team. MARK TOMBLIN moved from head of planning for the agency’s two Toronto offices to chief strategy officer. Prior to joining Taxi, Tomblin was head of planning at Leo Burnett in the U.K. Meanwhile, RUSS STEDMAN, who previously managed the Calgary and Vancouver offices, is now general manager at Taxi 2, replacing MATT SHOOM-KIRSCH who is now general manager of Taxi Toronto.
TrojanOne appointed KENDRICK YIP to the newly created position of manager, business development at its sister agency T1 Partnership Marketing. Yip will be responsible for prospect cultivation, sponsorship ideation and partnership management. During his career, Yip has worked with companies such as Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment and Live Nation Canada.
John St. added two new members to its Healthcare and Pharmaceutical Group. STEPHANIE FERRARI and AMY SAWYER were hired as ACD and account director, respectively. Ferrari will oversee all pharmaceutical communications including digital and multi-media work. Sawyer will focus on business development.
REBECCA SHROPSHIRE joined CBC Revenue Group as director of digital sales. As such, Shropshire will be responsible for establishing digital sales and business development strategies for all program properties in support of CBC Revenue Group targets and objectives. Shropshire was most recently VP and director of digital communications at UM Canada.
Yahoo Canada hired CLAUDE GALIPEAU as country manager to oversee sales and operations for the Toronto-based company. Galipeau has held management positions at Rogers Media, Astral Media, Alliance Atlantis Communications and the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. He was most recently a strategic advisor with Syncapse.
Fuse Marketing added three new members to its team. RUZ GODREJ joined as a digital account director, JEREMY BURHIN joined as a senior art director, while GRAEME PATERSON joined the Toronto agency as an account coordinator.
