A recap of who’s headed where in Canadian marketing and communications.

Rogers Communications named GUY LAURENCE as the successor to president and CEO Nadir Mohamed, who steps down at the end of the year. Laurence is currently CEO of telecommunications services provider Vodafone UK, a post he has held since 2008. He starts with Rogers Dec. 2.

Isobar Canada appointed VICTOR BALAS and JASON MOORE to the positions of VP technology and client services director, respectively. Balas is overseeing all research and innovation related to digital media. Moore is responsible for building client relations across Isobar and all other Aegis Media companies including Carat, Vizeum and iProspect.

SHERRY BOISVERT (right) joined National Public Relations as vice-president of the technology communications practice in Toronto. Boisvert spent the last three years with Ketchum Public Relations, most recently as its vice-president.

Hill+Knowlton Strategies promoted five members of its Ottawa team. ERIC MCLEAN and KATIE OLSEN were promoted to consultants; RYAN KELAHEAR was promoted to account director, while LEIGHA COTTON and ELLIS WESTWOOD were promoted to senior account directors.

Black Chalk Marketing promoted JENNIFER RAMSAY from director to vice-president, marketing and client relations – a new position within the Toronto promotion and experiential agency – and added GISELLE CLARKE and JOHN STEVENSON to the team as production and events manager, and account manager, respectively.

PEGGY RICHARDSON-MCKEE joined Squareknot as director, market research. During her career, McKee has held positions at BMO Financial Group, the Canadian Securities Institute, CIBC and Decima Research.

Brand Momentum appointed CHRISTINA RAMASROOP to the position of talent acquisition and development manager within the HR department. Before joining the Brand Momentum team, Ramasroop has held similar positions at In-Field Marketing, Mosaic and Boom Marketing.

Zoom Media appointed PATRICK COTE to sales director of Quebec and GM of its Quebec City office. During his career, Cote held sales director positions at Astral Radio Quebec’s NRJ and Rouge FM stations.
