NIKOLAS BADMINTON was appointed director of digital strategy at Tribal DDB Canada’s Vancouver office. During his 15 years in the industry, Badminton has worked across categories including travel, consumer packaged goods and technology.
Haliburton Broadcasting Group promoted CHRIS NIMIGON to national sales manager, effective immediately. Nimigon is responsible for building new business, and will work out of the company’s Toronto office.
Media Profile hired two senior consultants: MARK JAMES and ASHLEIGH CARTIER. James spent the last three years developing media campaigns and product launches for Nissan Canada and J.D. Power and Associates, while Cartier helped lead national and regional marketing communications programs for McDonald’s Canada.
PraxisPR hired MARGARET ANTKOWSKI as an account director to work on the Beam Global Canada account as well as other consumer packaged goods clients, and promoted CHRISTINA ORESKOVICH to account executive.
Porter Novelli Canada promoted MICHAEL MARGIOTTA, ALISON CROCKER and JANIE MERCKY to senior consultants. In the Toronto office, Marigotta and Crocker work within the consumer and health and wellness practice, respectively. Mercky manages a variety of national accounts from the Montreal office.
Aegis Media Canada made some significant changes to its Toronto operations. ANNETTE WARRING, formerly COO of Vizeum Canada, has been given the newly created position of COO of Aegis Media Canada. Working with her will be SASHA GRUJICIC, who was appointed SVP, group strategy, earlier this year. CAROLINE GIANIAS has been appointed EVP, trading and communication activation. JENNIFER CLARK is now VP, consumer insight.
At Aegis’ Carat media operation in Toronto, ALASTAIR TAYLOR was promoted to VP, managing director. MICHAEL BISPO has been promoted to SVP, managing director at sister agency Vizeum. LISA HUDSON has been promoted to SVP, managing director of the retail-focused Aegis Media Deep Blue.
