A recap of who’s headed where in Canadian marketing and communications.

After almost three decades working client side, GEOFF CRAIG is trying agency life as the president of Extreme Group, overseeing day-to-day operations of the agency’s Halifax and Toronto offices. Craig was most recently senior vice-president of marketing and innovation at Maple Leaf Foods and before that oversaw marketing at Unilever.

STEFAN HAWES is the new general manager for Blast Radius in Amsterdam. Hawes was most recently managing director at the now defunct TBWA\Vancouver. Earlier in his career, Hawes set up and ran the Tribal DDB office in San Francisco.

MARNI OTIS joined Transat Distribution Canada as director of marketing to oversee advertising activities for the network, which is comprised of nearly 500 agencies and approximately 2,300 travel consultants. Otis was most recently an account director at BBDO/Proximity Canada.

Mediative appointed SAMUEL PARENT as director of sales, eastern Canada. Parent has over 15 years industry experience, having spent time at Cossette, DraftFCB and MBS. He has been the Quebec Regional Director of IAB Canada since 2001 and a member of the national board since 2003.

Adcentricity hired SILVIA IBARRA and LIZ BAYNES as sales executives. Ibarra was a most recently a national account executive at Adapt Media Inc. and has held positions at SDI Marketing and Inventa Sales & Promotions in Toronto. BAYNES has held positions at Cossette, OMD and Mediacom.

Caber Sure Fit, which sells home furnishing protection products, has named LISA MELLET its vice-president of sales.

Nova Scotia agency Revolve added 11 new members to its roster. Additions to the agency’s digital team include ADAM KRUSZYNSKI as director of digital, YAZEED SOBAIH as social media strategist BETH FOX as project manager, and both SAM BLUE and JASON MOSS as senior digital developers. Other new hires include PAT NEILS as group account director, CHERYL SCOTT as manager of operations, MICHELLE SINCLAIR as production and trafficking manager, STEVE WALLACE as copywriter, JAMYE WALTERS as production designer, and VICTORIA DEWOLFE as account coordinator.
