A recap of who’s headed where in Canadian marketing and communications.

Newad promoted LINDSEY BLAKE to director of experiential marketing for central Canada, overseeing business development and campaign execution out of the company’s Toronto office. Blake joined Newad as an account manager in 2009 and was promoted to account director a year later.

BMW Group Canada appointed EDUARDO VILLAVERDE president and CEO, effective Sept. 1. Villaverde was previously president and CEO of BMW Group Spain. He joined BMW Group in 1995 as director and CFO of BMW de Latinoamérica, and also worked at the car company’s offices in Brazil and Argentina.

Dentsu Canada appointed ANDY MANSON to vice-president and executive creative director to lead accounts including Lexus, Toyota, Sleeman and Sunnybrook. Manson was most recently senior vice-president and creative director at Cundari. He has also held positions at MacLaren McCann Toronto, Ammirati Puris Lintas, and Ranscombe & Company.

DAC Group appointed two new VPs. CHRYSTIAN GUY and LYNDA TORNECK join the agency as vice-president and general manager of the agency’s Montreal and Toronto offices, respectively. Guy was most recently at Phéromone overseeing VIA Rail’s complete web makeover, and prior to that was director of digital at Transcontinental Media. Torneck has over 20 years agency experience having worked at Y&R, McLaren McCann and Crispin Porter + Bogusky.
