A recap of who’s headed where in Canadian marketing and communications.
JOSEPH BONNICI is Bensimon Byrne’s new creative director. Bonnici spent the last two years at Toronto agency Zulu Alpha Kilo and has also held positions at DDB Vancouver, Taxi and Lowe Roche. He starts his new gig Dec. 12.
Ariad Communications added three creative directors to its team. NEIL WOODLEY joins Ariad from an outside firm. He previously held positions at Launch Brand Marketing and Segal Communications. The agency’s senior designers JAMES PALMER and ROB CIANCAMERLA were also promoted to creative director status.
BOB FROESE succeeds Ron Telpner as CEO of The BrainStorm Group. Telpner, who founded the agency in 1992 will serve as chairman. Froese has been working at The BrainStorm Group since he left Publicis in 1996.
Hill & Knowlton added two new members to its team. DAVINA RAMNARINE joins the firm’s corporate communications team in Toronto as an assistant consultant, while ANGELA CEROVIC joins the Ottawa public affairs team as an account director.
Meanwhile, Hill & Knowlton’s Quebec-based sister agency HKDP Communications hired ANDREE CORRIVEAU as special advisor. During her career, Corriveau has held positions that included press agent for ministers in the Quebec and federal governments as well as for the executive of the City of Montreal. She has also been chief of staff in the office of the Minister of Finance for Quebec.
Toronto-based marketing agency TrojanOne promoted IMRAN CHOUDHRY from director, consumer engagement to as vice-president, consumer engagement. Choudhry joined the agency in 2002. During his career he has worked on brands such as Nike, BMW, OLG and Mattel.
