PETE BRETON and DAVE DOUGLASS are joining Lowe Roche as national co-chief creative officers early next month. The two, who were most recently co-CCOs at Cossette, will also oversee creative teams at Amuse in Montreal. Over the last decade the creative duo has worked brands such as General Mills, McDonald’s, Budweiser and Lexus.
Media Experts appointed ROBERT JENKYN to senior vice-president, digital solutions. Jenkyn has been with the agency since 2006 and has been instrumental in growing the agency’s digital services from a team of four to thirty.
The Institute of Communication Agencies (ICA) named LAURIE YOUNG as chair of its 2012 board of directors. Young, a managing director of Ogilvy & Mather Toronto, is the first female chair in 15 years and takes over for Claude Carrier, partner at BOS. Carrier remains on the board of directors and chairs the ICA’s board of governors. Young was vice-chair and treasurer for the board in 2011.
GCI Group hired LINDSAY WILLIAMS as director, consumer and DIANE SIDIK as senior consultant, consumer. Williams was most recently an account director at Edelman. Over the last 10 years she has worked with a range of clients including RIM, Pepsi-QTG, Unilever and Johnson & Johnson. Sidik has worked with Loblaw Companies Ltd. and Tim Hortons, and has also managed brands under P&G’s Family Care, Home Care and Beauty portfolios.
National Public Relations added one and promoted two of its own. MARICEL DICION joined as a consultant in its technology practice. Meanwhile, JACQUELINE ZONNEVILLE and KRISTEN KING were promoted to the form’s healthcare division as senior consultant, and consultant, respectively.
