KELVIN LEE joined Publicis Modem as project manager to oversee digital operations on the Rogers account. Prior to this, Lee was an interactive producer at Metro News. His other agency experience includes a stint at NKPR where he served as account coordinator, technical projects manager.
Taxi 2 hired RICHARD FOFANA as head of planning. During his career Fofana has worked on both the agency and client side of the business. He was most recently the strategic planning director at Publicis. He has also worked at Molson and Kraft. In addition to his industry experience, Fofana teaches Advertising Strategy at Toronto’s OCAD.
Winnipeg agency ClarkHuot/Cocoon appointed CHUCK PHILLIPS and MARK REIMER creative director and lead strategist, respectively. In January the Winnipeg office of Clark + Huot Branding merged with Cocoon Branding and Velocity/Spacecadet Design, to create ClarkHuot/Cocoon. Phillips was a creative director at Cocoon Branding, where he worked on the Scotiabank, Grant’s Blended Scotch Whisky and Red Bull accounts. Reimer was a staffer at Clark + Huot where he developed strategy for brands such as Payworks, Pavilion Financial Corporation and Javelin Logistics.
Mountain Equipment Co-op (MEC) hired ALLISON BROWNLIE as its new direct marketing manager. Brownlie joins the Vancouver-based retailer from MBNA Canada, where she led the company’s direct marketing and customer acquisition strategies.
Environics added two new members to its team. TAYLOR FERRI and ASHLEY IYER joined the PR agency’s Toronto office as account coordinators. Ferri joined the agency’s corporate and finance team and Iyer joined the healthcare practice.
