On the Move: Changes at Influicity, FCV, Normative

A weekly recap of who's headed where in Canadian marketing and communications

Influicity hired TOM GROTTA as its new CRO at its New York office. In his past positions as vice-president of Doubleclick and COO of InflectionPointMedia, Grotta drove revenue and increased brand recognition through creative marketing and sales strategies. He will assist Influicity in its growth to achieve global scale.

FCV Interactive promoted LISA BROWN to the new position of managing director, Toronto. She will be responsible for leading the expansion of the Toronto team. Brown has almost a decade of experience in sales and marketing at global and independent agencies.

Normative appointed KAMAL SYAN as its new general manager. Previously, Syan was the vice-president and group account director at Klick Health and vice-president and managing director at Critical Mass. The move comes as Normative says it is expanding thanks to growing demand for its software design services.

Famous Folks added CLAIRE TIDBY in the new role of COO and VP of client strategy at its Halifax office after the agency signed new long-term clients and entered a new stage of growth. Tidby was previously an executive at Extreme Group and was the director of marketing and sponsorship with the Halifax 2011 Canada games.

Chester + Company hired DENISE SEACH as an account director. An experienced client services professional, she will head existing C+C accounts and take on new assignments. She was most recently with Extreme Group where she managed accounts such as Enbridge, Diageo and King Cole Tea.

RBC brought on AIDAN NGUYEN as its new campaign specialist of enterprise marketing and sourcing in the Canadian banking division. He was previously at DDB Canada.
