On The Move: Big news for Cossette

A weekly recap of who's headed where in Canadian marketing and communications

Cossette Toronto has announced they’ve hired longtime BBDO creative leaders PETER IGNAZI and CARLOS MORENO, who have been with the Omnicom agency for nine years. The duo will take on co-chief creative officer roles at Cossette, and will report to Dave Lafond.

THIBAUT DUVERNEIX signed with Revolver Films as director. The musician/photographer/animator/computer programmer/director has been named a New York Art Directors Club’s Young Gun, and his work has been featured at TIFF and the Tribeca Film Festival. Born and raised in France, Duverneix co-founded Montreal creative studio Dpt. in 2008, where he lent his artistic directing talents to the likes of the Nine Inch Nails, Couche-Tard and the Government of Quebec.

LINDSAY LYNCH joined Twitter‘s media team, where she will lead TV, entertainment and music for Canada. Lynch comes from Yahoo, where she was head of lifestyle and entertainment. In the past she’s been a community manager for Rogers On Demand, Wind Mobile and MySpace.

Kaiser Lachance appointed LISE HUNEAULT as VP and managing director of its Montreal office. In addition to leading that team, Huneault will oversee integrated marketing communications, corporate communications and investor relations. She has previously held senior executive roles at MS&L, National and Fleishman-Hillard, and has directed press and communications for Mosaicultures Internationales, Novartis Pharmaceuticals, Cirque du Soleil and the Quebec government.

Nudge Rewards, a Toronto mobile retail tech company, hired MIKE AMOS as chief strategy officer. Amos previously founded Empathica, a customer experience management platform, and led the company for 12 years until its merger with customer feedback platform Mindshare Technologies to become InMoment. He’ll be responsible for driving Nudge’s global expansion strategy as it continues to develop its suite of mobile employee engagement products for retailers.

Hill+Knowlton added ANDREW SKUJA to its national creative team as senior art director, where he’ll work alongside VP creative director Chris Davies on ideation and creative development. In the past he’s been a creative director for Thindata 1:1, TBWA Toronto, and Mighty Digital.

Porter Novelli promoted PATRICIA CHORNENKY to senior consultant of its consumer team. For the past three years, Chornenky has worked for the firm on accounts like P&G’s Head and Shoulders and Duracell. Previously, she was a consultant at Elevator Communications. Porter also hired CAILIN COLLETT as senior consultant for its health and wellness team, from an account executive role at Edelman in London, U.K., and CANDICE SO, formerly of IT World Canada and The Globe and Mail, as a consultant on the technology team.
