Kaiser Lachance Communications promoted three staffers, DAN MADGE, JEAN FRANCOIS THIBAULT and STEPHANIE CANGELOSI. Madge has been promoted to senior director and will have a central role in the agency’s corporate and financial offerings. Thibault is now a manager, following success delivering on Kaiser Lachance’s business-to-business and financial client mandates. Cangelosi is now a senior coordinator on the agency’s marcom team and will continue to work with retail, women’s health and music clients.
LAURIE DILLON SCHALK was hired by Evidently as head of planning. Dillon Schalk is a digital media veteran who most recently held the role of director of digital strategy, planning and innovation at FCB. She also held senior planning and strategy roles at JWT and WestJet.
JORDAN BENEDET was selected as director of paid social at Catalyst. Benedet was most recently manager of social strategy and innovation at MediaCom. He also previously worked at the now-defunct Social Media Group and recently won a gold medal at Facebook’s residency program. At Catalyst, Benedet will oversee paid social for the agency’s entire client portfolio.
Smith hired ROSLYN DI SISTO as its senior colourist. The Toronto-based agency hired Di Sisto via Australia, where she has made a name for herself as a film colourist, working for brands like Subaru, FIFA World Cup and Powerade and agencies like Ogilvy, Havas Worldwide and JWT. Prior to becoming a colourist in 2009, Di Sisto worked in visual effects as an offline editor, producer and production manager.
BRADLEY WING was retained by Montreal’s SweetIQ, where he is now vice- president of partnerships and platform. Wing has been working in search and digital marketing for 16 years, including a long stint at the Yellow Pages Group where he was head of strategic partnerships and YellowAPI.com. At SweetIQ Wing will be tasked with continuing to grow the company’s strategic partnerships with companies like Google, Yahoo and Microsoft.
REBECCA PERRIN joined St. Joseph Communications as a creative digital marketing manager. Perrin’s role includes overseeing the digital marketing collateral for FashionMagazine.com, Weddingbells.ca, TorontoLife.com and CanadianFamily.ca. Prior to joining St. Joseph Communications, Perrin worked in editorial as a managing editor of Flare.com and as a fashion and lifestyle editor at Postmedia. She also worked as a community manager for The Kit and founded BrandEditor.ca.
Vice Media hired NAVI LAMBA as a social media producer. Lamba previously worked as an account coordinator and social media analyst for GCI Canada and a marketing assistant for Three O’Clock Press. Vice Media is currently in a hiring spree as it looks to fill 150 production roles associated with its $100 million content partnership with Rogers communications.
