DDB Toronto appointed PAUL WALLACE and DAVID ROSS to executive creative director and creative director, respectively. Each has more than a decade of experience at the Omnicom-owned agency, where they’ve worked on clients including Subaru and Cialis. The ECD position was previously held by Todd Mackie and Denise Rossetto, who moved to DS+P (formerly Doug & Serge) in February.
Cheil Canada added NELSON QUINTAL as its new creative director and STEPHEN CROWHURST as design director. Quintal was most recently CD on the Hyundai account at Innocean Worldwide. Crowhurst, meanwhile, spent the last year as senior UI designer with Invivo Communications.
BRETT CHANNER, the former chief creative officer of the Publicis-owned agency Red Lion, moved to Jackman Reinvention, a Toronto-based retail consultancy that has worked with brands such as Beer Store, Sobeys, Old Navy and Walgreens. Channer fills the chief creative officer role.
Initiative named ADAM LUCK president of its Canadian operations. Luck previously served as vice-president digital strategy and planning for Bimm Direct & Digital and as group director at Grip.
Edelman Toronto hired JORDAN DOUCETTE as its executive creative director, as part of the PR firm’s 12-person creative team. Doucette spent the last nine years with Taxi, working on big-name brands such as Telus, Mini Cooper and McCain. She assumes her new role on May 5.
JULIANNE TROTMAN joined EasyHome as senior manager, marketing to help drive the company’s retention and loyalty strategies. Trotman has spent many years working in the consumer loyalty space, most recently as manager, CRM at The Body Shop. She previously held positions at Aimia, Indigo and Rogers Communications.
Home Hardware promoted TERRY DAVIS from executive vice-president and chief operating officer to chief executive officer, effective May 1. Davis takes over CEO responsibilities from PAUL STRAUS who continues as the company’s president. Davis joined Home Hardware more than four decades ago in a junior warehouse position in the Distribution Centre in St. Jacobs, Ontario. Since, he has held senior level positions in the marketing, dealer finance and legal services and administration and strategic planning departments. He has served as executive vice-president and chief operating officer since 2010.
Canadian Tire Corporation promoted CHAD MCKINNON to chief operating officer of FGL Sports and RICK WHITE to chief operating officer to Mark’s. Prior to his appointment, McKinnon was SVP of store operations for FGL Sports and Mark’s. White was previously chief merchandising officer & SVP at Mark’s and FGL Sports.
