JACK NEARY joined MacLaren McCann as its director of business development, a newly created role within the agency. Neary returned to the marketing industry after an 18-month hiatus. During his career he has held positions at BBDO Toronto, TBWA Canada and MacLaren McCann.
Brand development and digital services agency ClarkHuot appointed SCOTT CHRISTIE to the newly created position of creative director for its Toronto office. Christie was most recently creative director at Interbrand Toronto.
Jones Media in Toronto added ANDREA FERNANDES to its senior management team. Fernandes was most recently direction of national sales for The Globe and Mail, responsible for the national daily’s digital, newspaper and magazine sales. With Jones Media, she will be responsible for business development and evolution of its first-party data.
Dentsu Aegis Network Canada promoted JENNIFER CLARK to senior vice-president, research and consumer insight to, among other tasks, oversee consumer research and insight. HISHAM GHOSTINE, meanwhile, joined the company as executive vice-president, commercial development, a new role at Dentsu Aegis Network Canada.
BrandHealth hired JEREMY CHAPUT as its lead digital and social media strategist. During his 13-plus years in the marketing industry, Chaput has worked at Ipsos Interactive, Conversition and the University of Ontario Institute of Technology. He currently teaches social media and digital best practices as part of Durham College’s PR course.
LUKE STRINGER and CHRIS DOYLE joined Twitter Canada. Stringer joined the social media network’s research department and Doyle was tapped to head up business-to-business marketing.
