Turnbull tapped to lead Proximity Canada. Pak joins Facebook Canada.

TYLER TUNRBULL was named president of Proximity Canada, replacing Dave Lafond who recently left the agency to join Cossette as the head of English operations. Turnbull joined Proximity in 2012 as senior vice-president, strategy and insight. Prior to that he held positions at Publicis Modem Canada and Publicis Modem in London. In 2012, he was selected as one of Marketing‘s Top 30 Under 30.

HELEN PAK left her position as executive vice-president and co-creative director at Saatchi & Saatchi to join Facebook Canada. Pak had been at the agency for more than six years and was promoted to co-executive creative director along with her creative partner Brian Sheppard in 2010. At Facebook, Pak will take on a strategy role.

Calgary’s Strut Creative added six new members to its team. AMANDA HO, TINA LEUTHE and DANAE THOMPSON joined as seniors designers, KARA-JOY PEARSON and STEVE MCKENNA joined as account managers while BONNIE ELGIE joined as communications and PR strategist – a newly created position within the agency.

Blast Radius promoted JOHN OUNPUU from senior strategy director to VP strategy. In his new role, Ounpuu is responsible for overseeing strategy for the Western North American region. He started with Blast Radius 10 years ago as a marketing writer and has held several positions at the agency including marketing strategist and strategy consultant.

NATHALIE COOK was appointed vice-president of sales and brand partnerships for TSN. Cook recently served as vice-president of marketing and innovation for Bell Media and as TSN’s vice-president of integrated marketing and partnerships before that.

MARCOS TERENZIO joined Shikatani Lacroix as director of digital creative experience. Terenzio joined the Toronto agency from St. Joseph Communications where he specialized in digital and multi-channel shopper marketing experiences and content solutions. Terenzio also helped launch Alchemy, the digital creative agency of St. Joseph Content – a division of St. Joseph Communications.

Hill+Knowlton Strategies promoted JACINTHE FIGUEREDO to the role of senior director to focus on pharmaceutical-centred health-care communications, corporate communications and branding in the Montréal office. Meanwhile, H+K’s office promoted OLGA RADCHENKO from group coordinator of the public affairs group to assistant consultant.

LINE MAHEUX joined GCI Group’s Public Affairs practice in Ottawa as senior vice-president, and as such, is responsible for strategic oversight and development of the practice. Maheux was most recently director of government affairs with BCE Inc.

Disruptive Publishers, a Vancouver-based interactive entertainment company appointed JULIA O’HARA as director of business development to strengthen partnerships with top brands across North America. Prior to joining Disruptive Publishers, O’Hara worked as a senior licensing associate at Electronic Arts.

After more than 12 years as vice-president, creative director at KBS+, LUC PERREAULT joined Palm + Havas as vice-president, creative director. JEAN-CHRISTIAN BIZIER has also joined the agency as creative director.
