Bleublancrouge has a new creative director and Elemental has a new agency partner.
JACQUELINE KENDALL joined St. Joseph Media as marketing and communications manager to spearhead marketing and PR efforts for print publications such as Fashion, Men’s Fashion, Weddingbells, Mariage Québec, Canadian Family, Glow and Pure and their digital counterparts. Kendall was most recently the director of Canadian accounts at RPR Marketing, where she oversaw the national publicity strategy for Johnson & Johnson.
Bleublancrouge appointed CHRISTIAN AYOTTE as creative director interactive. Ayotte has 15 years of experience working at big-name agencies including Sid Lee, Bos, Wieden+Kennedy and the Arnold agency as a freelancer. He has produced work for Adidas, Videotron, Nokia, Danone, Bombardier and Honda.
ANDREW BAILEY left his role as chairman of Proximity North America, a position he held for three years, to lead North American operations for a new holding company called The & Partnership. Bailey joined Proximity Canada in 2005 as vice-president of interactive and was appointed president in 2007, the same year Marketing named Bailey to its “Ones to Watch” list of young up-and-comers under 30. He moved to New York City in 2011 to assume the chairman role.
Toronto agency Elemental named DUSTIN BROWN agency partner. Brown will spearhead strategic insight in addition to his role as group account director. Brown joined the agency in 2009.
Sonic Boom appointed NORMAN MELAMED to managing director to oversee operations in both the Montreal and Toronto offices. Melamed has held several leadership positions at BBDO, MacLaren McCann and Young & Rubicam. He was most recently with Publicis, where he spent four years as SVP and managing partner.
MARION MORRIS joined Idea Workshop as an account manager. Morris was most recently at OverCat Communications, where she worked on a number of fashion and beauty clients including Coty, Old Navy, Express, Murale and Lia Sophia.
Environics appointed LYN WHITHAM to the position of vice-president in the corporate and financial practice at the agency’s Toronto office. During her career, Whitham has held senior leadership positions at Zurich Canada and Foresters. She also held senior communications and marketing positions at United Way Toronto and Mt. Sinai Hospital.
Vision Critical hired KOBI OFIR as chief technology officer. Ofir recently served as the vice-president of product development for Eloqua. He has also held positions at Rypple, Virgin Gaming and First Data Corporation.
