Lowe’s Canada named IGOR HALENCAK its head of merchandising and marketing as part of an executive shakeup. Halencak arrived from Sears Canada where he was senior vice-president of home, hardlines and major appliances. Previously, Halencak spent 14 years at Loblaw Companies Ltd., departing as vice-president, conventional grocery.

DOMINIQUE TRUDEAU, previously ECD at Taxi, has launched a creative and design agency, Couleur locale, aimed at ”adapting and deploying strong brands into the Québec markets.”

SHIRA BIDERMAN joined Glam Media as director of sales. Biderman was most recently digital sales director at Transcontinental where she managed the national sales team. Prior to that, she was director of integrated solutions at AOL. She has also held positions at SympaticoMSN and Yellow Pages Group.

The Tite Group announced three new hires made over the past weeks. GEOFF JONES, formerly a community manager at Kitchen Stuff Plus, joins as a content and community manager on the Patak’s and Blue Dragon accounts. COLIN KIKCIO comes aboard as a community manager as well, and MATTHEW CRUZ is now an art director working on Microsoft, AB World Foods and Dx3 Canada.

DAVID SCOTT joined National Public Relations in Toronto as vice-president and practice lead of the firm’s Corporate Communications practice. During his career he has held senior level positions at Fleishman-Hillard and Scotiabank.

Brand Momentum hired BRON SARABUN as national client services manager. Sarabun has over 20 years of experience in the consumer packaged goods industry having held various senior roles. He was most recently with the H.J. Heinz Company and KAO Canada Inc.

GCI Group appointed ATUL SHARMA as senior vice-president of the Public Affairs practice, responsible for strategic oversight and development. Sharma brings more than 20 years of experience in government relations, politics and business association work, including 10 years of experience with the Ontario Government where he held a number of positions.

Juice Mobile hired KYLE FLETCHER to manage clients and revenue in Western Canada and the United States. Fletcher was most recently vice-president sales, Western Canada at Evolve Media, where he was responsible for sales across all divisions for both online and mobile media.
