The One Show and its affiliated One Show Interactive and One Show Design award programs have revealed their shortlists, and 21 Canadian companies are in the running for coveted One Show pencils.
Taxi‘s Canadian agencies have been shortlisted eight times – the most of any Canadian firm. It earned three nods in the main One Show competition and five in the interactive contest. Work for clients such as Telus, the Hockey Hall of Fame, Edward Pond and its own Pothole Season app (as well as self-promotional submissions) are among the finalists.
BBDO Toronto, Leo Burnett and Grey Canada all have six nods apiece. BBDO’s shortlist work includes executions for Mercedes/Smart, Wrigley Canada, the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care and Wounded Warriors. Grey’s competing work is for Diageo, the Salvation Army, the Canadian Comedy Association and the Missing Children Society. Leo Burnett is in the running with Raising The Roof, One to One, IKEA and self-promotional work.
Cundari‘s five shortlist mentions are all for BMW Canada concepts, including its Bullet online film, its art auction and the “upgradeable banner” concept.
