A recap of who’s headed where in Canadian marketing and communications.

After six years with the agency, SUBTEJ NIJJAR was named president of Crispin Porter + Bogusky‘s Toronto office. He replaces SHELLEY BROWN, who is leaving to pursue other opportunities. Also leaving is AARON STARKMAN, who will be replaced by MICAHEL MURRAY as vice-president and executive creative director.

MEC Canada promoted TRACY BELLAMY to vice-president, managing partner of connection planning, responsible for developing product and strategy across all clients, as well as leading integrated planning in Canada. She will continue as the client lead for Pfizer, Chanel, Xerox and SPC Ardmona.

Jan Kelley Marketing promoted CHANTEL BROTEN to vice-president and chief strategy officer and LYNN RIDLEY to vice-president creative. In their new roles, Broten and Ridley will continue to lead their respective teams.

Following a restructuring, Postmedia Network Canada announced that MALCOLM KIRK, executive vice-president, digital, ED BROUWER, chief information officer and SCOTT ANDERSON, senior vice-president digital content strategy and managing director of Canada.com, are no longer with the company.

ROB SWANN joined the Toronto Blue Jays as director, corporate partnerships and business development. Swann has 13 years of sports and entertainment experience having worked with Tennis Canada. He started with the organization as a volunteer, eventually moving up to regional vice-president of corporate sales.

InField Marketing Group promoted CHRIS WILSON to president and DAVE NASH to vice-president and partner. Wilson replaces NICK JELINEK who is now the agency’s chief executive officer.

Punch Canada promoted OLGA PETRYCKI from senior account director to vice-president, responsible for managing some of the agency’s primary accounts including The Bahamas, Emirates, Thomas Cook and the Canadian National Sportsmen’s Shows.

Toronto PR firm Harbinger promoted six of its own. DEBORAH ADAMS is now senior vice-president and managing director, CHRIS GOULD is senior vice-president, BRIAN ROSEVEAR is vice-president, MAGGIE WAYMARK is an account director, while LYNN BESSOUDO and JENNIFER PYNE were both promoted to senior account managers.

NANCY MITCHELL joined Wunderman’s Toronto office as EVP, general manager, a new position within the agency. In her new role Mitchell will oversee account management and delivery services teams. She joins from Klick where she served as vice-president, strategy.
