Energi PR, Communications, Digital has changed ownership.

The firm, which has offices in Toronto and Montreal, is now fully owned by Esther Buchsbaum and Carol Levine, who purchased Martin Waxman’s partnership interest.

Buchsbaum and Levine are former partners of Communications MECA, which last year merged with Toronto’s Palette PR (of which Waxman was president) to form Energi.

According to a release, Waxman has “left to pursue other interests.” Commenting on the news, Levine said “The buyout was a business decision that everyone was very pleased with and we wish Martin every success.”

The business will continue to operate under the Energi PR name.

Management consultancy Stevens Gould Pincus, which focuses on the PR industry, gave Energi strategic counsel on the transaction.

Energi PR provides communications services to CPG brands and those in the health care, hospitality and corporate sectors.
