Paul Lavoie, chairman and co-founder of the Taxi agency network, has received the 2014 Prix Hommage from the Association of Quebec Advertising Agencies (AAPQ).

The award was presented last week at Montreal’s Place des Arts during the CRÉA gala, an annual award show presented by Les Éditions Infopresse that recognizes the top advertising in Quebec.

“I am honoured to receive this award from my peers here in Quebec, where I am proud to say I started my career,” said Lavoie.

“If you have the passion, you have the power to change the world. Maybe only in small ways, but that can make a big difference: for your clients, your community, your industry, and yourselves,” he said.

Lavoie worked for several agencies in Montréal as an art director and creative director before co-founding Taxi in 1992. In 2006, Lavoie became the youngest inductee of the Canadian Marketing Hall of Legends. In 2008, Marketing named Lavoie as one of the 10 most influential pioneers in Canadian marketing this century.
