Praxis picks up three accounts

Toronto firms adds a hotel, an investment firm and a national association to its roster

Praxis has added a landmark Toronto hotel, an investment firm and a national hunger prevention association to its roster of clients.

The Omni King Edward Hotel has chosen Praxis to showcase its $40 million facelift, set to be officially unveiled this month. Praxis, which won the account following a competitive agency review, will manage the unveiling of the renovations, as well as ongoing media outreach and blogger relations.

Skyline Group of Companies, a Guelph, Ont.-based real estate investment and management company, has hired Praxis to lead its rebranding strategy and handle corporate communications and executive positioning work.

“We won Skyline through a referral who was impressed with the work we did in the past with Manulife and other financial organizations,” says Paula Oreskovich, principal and co-founder of Mississauga, Ont.-based Praxis.

Praxis will also develop a digital campaign for Food Banks Canada to bring awareness to the issue of hunger, as part of upcoming Hunger Awareness Week (Sept. 21-25). The agency was selected for the project in a recent competitive bid.

Oreskovich says Praxis has been expanding its digital division and now has 16 employees.

“We have stayed on top of the shift from traditional media to influencer and social media,” she says. “It has been a goal of ours over the last few years to build a team of experts in digital and social media to meet the evolving needs of our clients. As new communication channels and platforms emerge, we’ll be there to examine them and make sense of them for our clients”

Other Praxis clients include Pepsi Canada, Beam Suntory and the Wine Institute of California.
