The Retail Council of Canada (RCC) has chosen Padulo Integrated as its agency of record.

RCC, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, is a not-for-profit association that calls itself “The Voice of Retail” and represents more than 43,000 stores including independent shops, grocery stores, discount and department retailers.

The Toronto-based retail communications company Padulo will work to “re-energize the RCC brand in the multilingual digital and traditional multimedia landscape,” according to a release.

Tyler Cavell, director of digital and global business at Padulo, said the agency is currently conducting an audit of RCC’s brand and will then develop a marketing plan that includes logo and visuals work. He added that “the context of both the RCC’s 50th anniversary and the exploding interactive opportunities” available in today’s multimedia world are very important.

“Maximizing the RCC’s reach through Facebook, Google+, Twitter and the like are key pillars that we will also focus on—but all in harmony with every medium,” he said.

Diane Brisebois, president of RCC, said that Padulo’s talent for embracing change is what has kept it “at the forefront of Canadian retail advertising for nearly three decades.”

She added that Padulo is an agency that recognizes that today’s retail space “needs to be adaptable, flexible and receptive to constant evolution in order to achieve long-term success.”
