After a rebranding and an acquisition, Richter has hired DDB Public Relations as its English-language PR agency of record to help promote its new Toronto operation.

Richter, an “independent strategic accounting, business consulting and financial advisory firm,” recently rebranded away from the name RSM Richter Chamberland. Subsequently, it expanded beyond its home market of Montreal with the acquisition of Toronto’s SBLR LLP Chartered Accountants.

“We knew to establish the new Richter brand in Toronto, we needed an agency that could bring strategically strong creative solutions to our thought leadership efforts,” said Eve Laurier, Richter’s vice-president of strategic relations, in a statement.

After working together on a contracted project last autumn, Richter has now tasked DDB Public Relations with developing the new Toronto office’s profile.

“From the outset, we experienced an instant synergy with the Richter team,” said Martine Lévy, managing director of DDB Public Relations. “We are very excited to help them grow their profile in the Toronto market.”

Cohn & Wolfe handles PR in Qubec. Bleublancrouge has the creative assignment.
