Sarah Young takes the helm at National in Atlantic Canada

East coast operations includes three offices

Sarah_Young_LowRESSarah Young, partner of National Public Relation’s office in Halifax, has been appointed managing director of the agency’s three offices in Atlantic Canada.

Young became a partner in National Public Relations in 2012, when the agency acquired MT&L Public Relations, a firm Young and her partners owned for more than a decade. Aside from Halifax, National has offices in Saint John, N.B. and St. John’s, Nfld.

The newly created role “follows the model of other offices at National,” said Young. “We’ve been experiencing growth over the last number of years and our firm is working more closely with our colleagues right across the country. It allows us to continue to do that and at the same time, work right across our region in a more consistent way.”

“We are thrilled that Sarah has accepted this position, especially since it is such a natural evolution for her and for the firm,” said Jean-Pierre Vasseur, president and CEO of parent company Res Publica Consulting Group, in a release. “A strong and innovative leader, Sarah has already shown she is able to draw out the best of our experienced team in Atlantic Canada, thus ensuring our clients’ continued growth and success.”

National partners Janet MacMillan and Kevin McCann, former principals of MT&L Public Relations, will remain in their roles in Halifax.
