Publicis Canada has hired former Proximity SVP Scott Pinkney as vice-president, executive creative director. In the new role he will provide creative direction for the agency’s data-driven CRM practice, which it plans to continue building over the next several months.
Over the past two decades, Pinkney has held VP and SVP roles in creative practices at Proximity, DraftFCB, Mosaic and OgilvyOne New York. He brings a wealth of experience in creative direction and consumer behaviour-based marketing.
“Scott is the perfect complement to our agency model,” said Publicis Toronto president Bryan Kane, in a statement. “He is incredibly skilled and passionate about his core expertise, but always looking at the challenge through the lens of consumer behaviour and how it is connected to the broader marketing mix.”
Pinkney said he was attracted to Publicis because of its deeply integrated, omnichannel planning model. “Publicis has been built in a manner where silos have literally been demolished and teams are built to work together seamlessly,” he said, in a statement.
