Think you’ve had a hard week at the office? Try running through the Sahara Desert for seven days.

That’s what a dedicated team of nine Toronto-based advertising professionals (including Draftfcb director of human resources Anne-Marie Teseretopoulos, pictured right) is currently doing to raise money for National Advertising Benevolent Society (NABS), an organization that helps people from the communications industry who are in need of personal, financial and career assistance.

After raising just over $96,000 to date, the team is less than $4,000 short of its goal of exceeding $100,000. The team started the Egyptian race, which covers 250 kilometres, on Oct. 5 and will enter its final stage on Oct. 8. It needs the industry’s help to hit that number, so if you and/or your team have anything to donate, do so here.

And, as with any such brutal physical and emotional battle—did we mention the temperature is over 40 degrees Celsius there?—notes of support are a great boost for the team. You can share them here.
