Toronto’s Healthwinds Spa has hired The Siren Group Inc. to develop a communications program that promotes the opening of the spa’s new mid-town location.

The PR shop will help generate awareness of the new site and its services through media co-promotions, media and consumer special events, national media relations and product placement.

The Siren Group presented its credentials and case studies last year to Healthwinds president Kailee Kline, and was selected over two freelance publicists in March.

Kline said she was impressed by Siren’s health and beauty care portfolio, which includes Elmwood Spa, The Spa at the Intercontinental Toronto Centre, Medicard Inc., the New You Show and Medicis Aesthetics.

“As a renowned leader in the spa industry in Canada for more than 15 years, Kailee has a great story to tell and we are excited about communicating the unique wellness experience that is Healthwinds,” said Susan Willemsen, president of the Siren Group.

The spa is also relaunching HealthwindsSpas.com, undergoing a logo redesign, and developing new collateral material in collaboration with Boss Print and Design in Toronto.
