St. Bernadine Mission Communications has bought a building in Vancouver’s Chinatown area and plans to move its growing workforce into the newly renovated 3,000-sq.-ft. space early next year.
David Walker, partner, said he now has 12 staff with four creative teams and a client list that includes Granville Island, Great Western Brewing, Western Coal and project work for Shaw and BC Hydro.
Chinatown, says Walker, is vibrant with new condo developments and bars moving into the area next to traditional grocery stores and herbal shops.
The new location has a street-level storefront that the company has been using to tease passersby. The current “coming soon” sign that says “Bernhard’s Bratwurst Import Shop: I love sausage” will soon switch to “Bernhard’s Beard and Mustache Manicures.”
“We want to add some interest and fun to our neighbourhood and let our future neighbours know we’re going to add some colour to the street,” said Andrew Samuel, partner.
