Tank has the best prescription for the Quebec pharmacy chain Uniprix.

The Montreal-based agency—formed last year from a merger of Arthur & Merlin, Nextmoov and Sky Communications—was named Uniprix’s creative agency late last fall after a formal review. A short list was not disclosed.

Though it just took over the business from Sid Lee in November, Tank moved quickly to create a one-time-only TV spot for the New Year’s Eve broadcast of popular Quebec comedy show “Bye Bye.”

The objective is to increase brand awareness and perception of the pharmacy and its services, said Tank president, André Beauchesne. “With the various actions we will undertake, we also hope to support the increase in Uniprix’s bottom line.”

The agency has its first full campaign in the works now, and while Beauchesne wouldn’t provide details, he says it will roll out this spring. “Right now it’s under discussion in terms of what message we should convey,” he said.

Touche PHD in Montreal is Uniprix’s agency of record for all media services.
