Torchia Communications wins Alliance Pharmacy Group

Toronto PR shop is the company's first-ever public relations AOR

Alliance Pharmacy Group, a full-service pharmacy that offers free shipping of prescriptions across Canada, has named Torchia Communications as its public relations agency of record.

It’s the first time Alliance, which was founded in 1962, has had an official PR AOR.

Alliance says it is adding PR to its business as part of expansion efforts.

Pink Elephant Marketing, a digital and integrated creative services agency will help lead a broader marketing campaign for Alliance. Torchia and Pink Elephant have worked together on a number of accounts.

Nicole Chin, account manager and social media specialist at Torchia, says the agency began courting Alliance earlier this year after hearing from Pink Elephant the company was in the market for a PR AOR. “We ended up meeting with them over the phone and in person a number of times in the early months of 2016 and made the contract official as of May 2016,” she says.

“Working with such an innovative national pharmacy network and specialist is very exciting,” said Daniel Torchia, managing director and partner at Torchia Communications, in a statement.
