Following an RFP, MacIntyre Communications has become the agency of record for StyleDemocracy, a Canadian destination for fashion retail news, brand updates, branded warehouse sales and pop-ups.
MacIntyre will be providing StyleDemocracy with media relations, blogger and influencer programs, social media strategy and content creation. The goals are to build StyleDemocracy’s online followers and to increase awareness among businesses that could benefit from its services.
StyleDemocracy, which was established in 1999, did not previously have a full- time agency.
StyleDemocracy members receive sale event notifications, online pop-up shop alerts and insider discounts. It works with brands such as Nordstrom, Nike, Levi’s, Lacoste, Puma, Nine West, La Senza, Tommy Hilfiger and Holt Renfrew.
The company has also partnered with six-year-old online lifestyle magazine View The Vibe to manage both digital platforms.
StyleDemocracy founder Michael Berg says the move will give it a greater digital footprint and give View The Vibe a sales and marketing structure.
StyleDemocracy has more than 150,000 online visitors monthly, while View The Vibe has more than 100,000 unique monthly visitors.
