Trader Corporation has named DDB Canada and OMD Canada as agencies of record for its AutoTrader.ca brand, which is set to launch with a new campaign next month.

DDB Canada was appointed agency of record following a competitive review that included four unnamed agencies on the shortlist. The agency replaces Toronto agency John St. on the account.

OMD Canada will handle media planning and buying.

A release issued by DDB Canada this morning stated that both agencies would be working together to help consumers recognize Auto Trader as “the No. 1 digital automotive destination in Canada” and not just printed automotive classifieds.

“Each component of the campaign is integrated and will be optimized to deliver the goals set by AutoTrader.ca to get them where they need to be in 2012. The campaign is recent evidence of the integrated DDB/OMD results-focused partnership,” said Cathy Collier, CEO of OMD Canada, in a statement.
