After a lot of negotiation, the air rewards loyalty space has settled a little bit. TD Bank and CIBC were in negotiations with Aimia for ownership of its Aeroplan program, a process that saw the two banks basically split the program in half, dividing customers between them. Now comes the (arguably) tougher part: rebranding their programs and easing consumer fears that their air miles remain unaffected.
CIBC, for its part, launched Aventura, and has put a large-scale campaign into market. The work represents Juniper Park‘s largest campaign for the bank since winning the account a year ago.
