To promote the latest addition to its menu – the Mighty Angus – McDonald’s Canada took a trip to the Calgary Stampede. In three 15-second spots launched Monday, the quick-serve chain offered the new burger to the cowboys participating at the annual stampede rodeo in order to get their seal of approval.
The burger itself is made from Angus beef from Canadian farms and was further promoted by launch events for bloggers and Calgary media, and at McDonald’s headquarters in Toronto.
