Calgary’s Wax is off to a good start in 2008, signing two diverse new accounts: the Calgary Airport Authority and the Victoria Symphony.

Following a competitive bid process, the Calgary Airport, the country’s fourth largest, picked Wax over three other local agencies to provide brand development and creative design for both internal and external audiences.

The Victoria Symphony win came as a result of Wax’s work on two other arts accounts, the Honens International Piano Competition and the Alberta Ballet, says Bethany Wilson, director of marketing for the symphony. “Their commitment to the performing arts was key. I have also worked with (Wax CD) Joe Hospadarec and I know he has a level of creativity above anybody I have ever worked with.”

Wax is the symphony’s agency of record and will work primarily on its subscription renewal campaign, including a new brochure.
